We went the integrated route specifically to avoid clutter too and it worked out, but heads up the empty crates don't stack as compactly when nested compared to ones with a separate flat pallet. Tradeoff depending on your storage priorities.

Forgetting a battery exists for three years because it never gave you a reason to think about it is honestly the best review any car part can get. That kind of reliability is what peace of mind actually looks like.
